Size: Filter φ3.9xH4.3" (φ100xH110mm) Stand φ3.9xH0.2" (φ100xH110mm)
Hand Crafted in Hasami, Japan
Material: Porous ceramic
How different with the other porous filter?
1. Materials
The main ingredients of cerapotta are: clay + alumina ceramic + proprietary material. Alumina has positive effect on taste and aroma by allowing coffee to be extracted without hindering its original flavor.
The proprietary material burns out during firing (at 1,200°C), and the burnt-out part creates porosity.
2. Molding Method
cerapotta is molded using a potter's wheel, with each piece being handcrafted by artisans, resulting in consistent shaping with minimal irregularities.
3. Maintenance
When coffee brewing becomes slow, place the ceramic pot in boiling water for about 10 minutes to remove any clogs.

Filters well & cleans easy. Still allows a small amount of residue, however wonderful flavor.
My new favorite method. Better than Kalita, Aeropress, french press, V60, Chemex, and espresso!
Different brew methods have always been attractive to me as I believe each roasted batch of beans has a perfect match in brew method. cerapotta compliments every roast, it is quite magical.
Japanese craftsmanship and quality brought this beautiful brewing piece to life. The water transformation alone demonstrated at SCA Chicago was impressive. Brewing coffee through it completely transformed the clarity of the brew unlike any other filter medium I have tried. As an coffee educator, I look forward to using this piece as a demonstration for a brewing class. 10/10 would recommend to any one serious about improving their home coffee brewing.
